About our Campaign
We are committed to being a part of this sea change in Taiwan’s political history and we see the role of the film as a catalyst for moving this important dialogue surrounding a woman-led presidency in a male-dominated domestic and foreign political theater.
We are launching this campaign because we are releasing the film independently and want to make sure it reaches as broad an audience as possible. There are two stages of making a social impact documentary film. The first is finishing the production of the film, the second is to promote the distribution and/or sale of the film so that the film has a chance to make a positive impact in the world. We have accomplished x on an initial investment of Y from leading foundations and experienced film financiers. We are now raising $250K to accomplish final editing and to pursue our global commercialization strategy.
We will pursue national and international releases across theatrical, online and broadcast channels. Our sales and distribution strategy is multi-pronged so that the film will reach (what kind of audiences?). We are targeting a Fall 2019 international premiere at a leading US film festival as well as we we believe the film is a great candidate to be sold to an international distribution partner. We plan to take the film on screening tours in the US, Asia and Europe. We already have close connections with partners in the US, Asia and Europe and will be in a strong position to leverage these networks and marketing channels for us to organize the tour.
